These documentation requirements will help ensure that animal health personnel document their activities in a responsible manner and thus conducive to good animal health, proper animal welfare, food safety and safeguarding the environment. the Regulation defines the content of reports. These shall, among other things, include information on prescription and use of drugs, including the name and part number of the drug, dosage and duration of drug use, and retention periods for meat, milk, eggs and fish as animal health personnel have determined using drugs.
