Abstract The present Regulation applies to Norwegian and foreign vessels of any kind that engage in fishing for commercial purposes or assist the fishing fleet, including exploration and experimental vessels. The Regulation prohibits to fish for cod in the protected fishing area around Svalbard unless otherwise expressly provided. It establishes total allowable catches, quotas and seasons for Norwegian, Russian, EU, British vessels, as well as vessels from the Faroe Islands.
