This Regulation enters into force on the day it is published in the Maldivian Government’s Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation lays down provisions for the establishment of guidelines and standards for the determination of minimum prices for sales and purchase of fish for the purposes of exporting. This Regulation applies to all parties purchasing fish and fish products under a license to process or store fish for the purposes of exporting, and collector vessels operated by said parties, and to foreign vessels permitted by the Ministry to operate within the maritime zones of the Maldives for purchasing of fish. This Regulation underlines that it is prohibited to sell any fish caught by any type of fishing that are within the scope of this Regulation, at a price lower than the floor price.
