Abstract

This Regulation provides rules for Swedish fishing vessels fishing in the Norwegian economic zone south of 62 degrees in 2017. It is prohibited for these vessels to fish in the mentioned zone; notwithstanding the prohibition, Swedish vessels may engage in such activity for a limited total allowable catch and limited zones (listed under article 2). Bycatch is also allowed (cod, haddock, saithe, pollack and whiting shall be calculated against the quotas for these species). Bycatch of mackerel when fishing for herring are limited to 10% by weight in each catch.
