Abstract

The purpose of this Regulation is to preserve an area of ancient forest with biodiversity of habitats, ecosystems and species, as well as the area's natural ecological processes. Key values are moist creek environment on calcareous rock with calcareous forests, and old growth forest rich in dead wood. Gujrat is varied, it has a special and rare biodiversity, and several endangered and rare species. The objective is to maintain conservation values in the most untouched state, and possibly developing them. The area extends for approximatelly 461 acres.
