Abstract The purpose of the natural reserve is to preserve a large, relatively low-lying old woodland extending approx. 1 040 acres. Instances of dead and dying aspen and a rare and very important presence of coarse and old elm-linden forests with large grove spoke at Rubb Lifjellet area lends particular importance to biodiversity, rare and endangered species in particular. The objective of the Regulation is to maintain conservation values in the most untouched state, and possibly developing them.
