Abstract

The purpose of the Regulation is to preserve a large continuous area of old spruce forest with a high proportion of yew and ancient conifers. The rare rich occurrence of yew consists of rather unusually rough dimensions and is of particular importance for biodiversity. Grøne Liane natural reserve is a good district graded coniferous area in the southern boreal vegetation zone. It contains fresh and lush hillsides with spruce in an elevated and substantial pine-dominated moorland and the areas extends approx. 1 051 acres. The objective is to maintain conservation values in the most untouched state, and possibly developing them.
