Abstract The purpose of this Regulation is to preserve the natural reserve of Orsjømyra - an area of particular importance for biodiversity containing an adjacent wooded area with poor coniferous forest, but locally much dead wood. The area which extends to approximatelly 1 094 acres has particular scientific value due to one of the largest ombo-minerotrophic moors without interfering in the lower part of Telemark, and of dactylorhiza traunsteineri and several rare and endangered species of wood-inhabiting fungi associated with dead wood of spruce. The objective of these regulations is to maintain conservation values in the most untouched state, and possibly developing them.
