Abstract

The purpose of this Regulation is to preserve a virtually untouched forest area with its biological diversity of habitats, ecosystems, species and natural ecological processes. The area is a special scientific reference area and includes lowland forest with large areas of old natural spruce forest. A large proportion of core areas and large amounts of dead wood make of this area of particular importance for biodiversity.
