Abstract The purpose of this Regulation is to preserve a virtually untouched nature area with its biological diversity in terms of habitats, ecosystems, species and natural ecological processes. The site has a special importance as a regional large wooded area with large topographical variations and has particular significance for fungal species associated with dead wood, with rich and distinctive lichen flora. The forest will eventually be able to develop large dimensions of dead wood.
