Abstract It is illegal for Norwegian vessels to fish and land blue whiting in 2014 with the exception for the participation of fishing and landing 190 000 tons of blue whiting (of which 1 500 tons of bycatch) in the Norwegian territorial waters, the economic zone, the fishery zone around Jan Mayen, the fishery protection zone around Svalbard and in international waters.
