Abstract The Regulation establishes guidelines on sprat fishing in 2014. It is not allowed to Norwegian fishing vessels to take on this activity in the ICES statistical areas IV, IIA, in the Norwegian territorial area, in Skagerrak 4 miles off the Norwegian acoasts and the EU zone. However, exception is made to vessels meeting requirements for the participation in coastal sprat fishery in internal waters and the territorial sea and in adherence to article 36 of Regulation No. 1419 of 9 December 2013.
