Abstract The purpose of this Regulation is to preserve a larger, slightly affected forest area with natural habitat consisting of coniferous forests, ponds, streams and marshes, in the low areas over the marine limit on bedrock in Southeast Norway. The area is located in the southern boreal zone and has a strong sub-oceanic climate and coastal plants – therefore an area of particular importance for biodiversity.
