Abstract This Regulation establishes the opening date for silver smelt fishing to 17 February 2014. Vessels are authorized to fishing and landing silver smelt in the Economic Zone and within a total quota of 12 000 tons. Of this quota, 300 tons is allocated to bycatch and 20 tons for research purposes. The authorized total allowable catch consists of maximum 520 tons.
