Abstract

The Document establishes the prohibition to fish and land basking shark (Cetorhinus maximus), spiny dogfish (Squalus acanthias), porbeagle (Lamnes nasus) and silk shark (Carcharhinus falciformis), and the prohibition of cutting fins of basking sharks and porbeagle before the landing of their catch. This regulation applies to both commercial and leisure fishery in internal waters, territorial sea, economic zone and the high seas in ICES areas I-XIV.
