Abstract This Regulation’s goal is to prevent foot-and-mouth disease spread in Norway from countries outside the EEA. It applies to vehicles and vessels for transport of live animals or feed between EEA and Algeria, Libya, Morocco or Tunisia. These vehicles and operators thereof shall submit to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority (FSA) information on first country in the European Economic Area prior to entry to Norway. FSA will control vehicles and vessels used for transport of live animals to determine if they are satisfactorily cleaned and disinfected. The declaration shall contain the information set out in Appendix I and submitted in the included form. The original document shall be retained by the FSA for 3 years.
