Abstract It is not permitted for Norwegian vessels to fish and land Greenland halibut north of 62° N in 2013, except for fishing in the fishery zone around Jan Mayen. It is however permitted to Norwegian vessels to fish and land up to 9 675 tons of Greenland halibut, whereby 465 tons of Greenland halibut is allocated for research purposes. Maximum allowed quota for vessels under 28 meters of length is specified in article 3 and by-catch shall not exceed 7% of the entire catch. Transshipment to another vessels is not permitted.
