Abstract Fishing for Argentina Silus in Norway is prohibited, however fishing vessels are allowed to catch by trawl in the Economic Zone a maximum of 12 000 tons. Of this total allowable catch, 300 tons shall be for scientific purposes and 400 tons as bycatch and landing (10% of the total catch). No transhipment of catch from one vessel onto another is permitted. The starting season begins on 18 February 2013.
