Abstract

This Order, adopted by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, lays down the criteria that wheat varieties shall meet so that businesses registered in the Fertilizer Accounts Register (Register for Gødningsregnskab) may apply the nitrogen standard for bread wheat during cultivation, in accordance with the applicable Order on agricultural use of fertilizers for the planning period. The Order requires the use of test cultivations to assess whether a variety meets the criteria for quality and cultivation stability and is suitable for bread production. Article 6 lays down the criteria that tested varieties shall meet. For the purpose of assessing whether a variety is suitable for bread production, there shall be a statement from two recognized milling companies, as stated in Article 8.
