Abstract

This Regulation amends article 103o of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 establishing a common organization of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products. The amended provisions concerns the possibility for Member States to grant decoupled aid under the single payment scheme to vine growers. In order to simplify the management of this specific support measure and to ensure its consistency with the objectives of the rules for direct support schemes for farmers, this Regulation converts that measure into the possibility for Member States to definitively decrease the funds allocated to the support programmes in the wine sector and increase the national ceilings for direct payments.
