Abstract

This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Serbian Veterinary Law, provides for the Programme of animal health protection measures for the year 2021 (full text part of this publication). Specific measures of animal health protection, deadlines, manner of implementation of these measures, entities that will implement them, sources and manner of providing and using funds, as well as manner of control of implementation of these measures are all defined in this Programme. Basic aim of the Programme are established in order to prevent the occurrence, early detection, spread, monitoring, control or eradication of infectious animal diseases. The following measures shall be implemented: 1) registration of the farm in the Central Database (hereinafter: the Central Database), marking and entry of data on marked animals in the Central Database; 2) biosecurity measures and animal welfare; 3) epizootiological surveillance of animal health (active and passive surveillance and diagnostic tests); 4) education and notification of owners, animal keepers and users of hunting grounds; 5) immunoprophylactic measures; 6) diagnostic tests for the purpose of early detection of especially dangerous infectious diseases (high-risk diseases), organization and implementation of epizootiological investigation in case of suspicion of especially dangerous and other infectious diseases; 7) diagnostic tests of animals in order to detect diseases and infections and resistance to antimicrobial agents; 8) diagnostic tests for abortions and keeping data on abortions and performed diagnostic tests; 9) diagnostic testing of breeding bulls, boars, rams and goats, stallions used for natural mating and seed production in artificial insemination centers.
