This Regional Legislative Decree enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Regional Legislative Decree, consisting of six articles and five Annexes, establishes the classification of Special Protected Areas (SPAs) within the Autonomous Region of Madeira, as referred to in Article 3 of Regional Legislative Decree No. 5/2006/M, which include the following protected areas (specified in Annexes): a) ZPE da Laurissilva; b) SPA Maciço Montanhoso Oriental; c) ZPE Ponta de São Lourenço; d) ZPE Ilhas Desertas; e) ZPE Ilhas Selvagens. Planning and supervision of SPAs established by this law shall be subject to the Regulations as set forth in the respective Plans of Planning and Management of Special Areas of Conservation approved under the following Resolutions of the Council of the Regional Government.
