This Regional Law enters into force on 1 January 2008.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes that the provisions of the Federal Law No. 82-FZ on ensuring traditional rights of sparsely distributed indigenous peoples of the Russian Federation shall be applicable to persons who are Yakuts, born and permanently residing on the territory of the Magadan region in places of traditional residence of small indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation and conducting traditional activities thereof. The aforesaid categories shall enjoy guarantees in the same manner as small indigenous peoples in accordance with the federal legislation.
