Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations arising between regional government bodies and legal entities in the field of development of responsible business conduct in order to create conditions for ensuring stability, socio-economic and investment development of the region. Responsible business conduct is the activity of responsible organization aimed at improving ecology and environmental protection, using the best available technologies, improving labour conditions of workers, care for employees and members of their families, implementation of environmental, social, educational, charitable and other projects related to improving the standard of living and comfort of the regional population. Authorized regional state executive body shall attribute the status of responsible business entity to businesses meeting the following criteria: (a) environmental impact; (b) use of the best available technologies; (c) promotion of investment projects; and (d) implementation of environmental, social, educational, charitable and other projects related to improving living standards and comfort of the regional population.
