Abstract This Regional Law delimits powers of the regional legislative and executive bodies in the field of subsoil management and establishes the procedure for allotment by decision of the competent state authority of subsoil plots for exploration, assessment of deposits of minerals, extraction of common minerals, prospecting, assessment of the deposits of groundwater, and groundwater abstraction for technical non-commercial use (gardening and horticulture partnerships) and potable water supply. The aforesaid activities shall be subject to prior issue of authorization by the public competent authority. Subsoil plots within the boundaries of which the balance reserves of widespread minerals and manifestations thereof shall not be subject to allotment for geological exploration for the purpose of prospecting and evaluating mineral deposits of local significance.
