Abstract This Regional Law establishes that regional executive body in the field of nature management shall have the following powers: (a) allotment of forest plots of forest fund in permanent (open-ended) use, lease, and free-of-charge management; (b) conclusion of purchase and sale contract of forest plantations located in forest fund; (c) preparation, organization and conduct of tenders for conclusion of lease and purchase and sale contracts related to public and municipal forest plots; (d) application of servitude to forest plots located within the boundaries of forest fund; (e) protection of public forest, including protection against forest fires; (f) performance of forest surveying; (g) planning of forest plots within forest fund; (h) drafting Regional forest management plan; (i) forest inventory; (j) forest service supervision in forest fund; and (k) registration of timber extracted by natural persons for individual personal needs in forest fund.
