Abstract

This Regional Decree adopts sanitary measures to combat bovine spongiform encephalopaty (BSE) in animal feed within the territory of the Autonomous Region of Azores. It consists of 8 articles defining any type of feed originating from animal (for livestock and aquaculture purposes) and prohibiting the use of this feedstuff for animal breeding (meat, bone, blood and fat meals obtained from mammal tissue) .
