This Regional Decree enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Decree establishes that Regional Forestry Department is regional executive body implementing state policy in the field of forest relations on the regional territory. Regional Forestry Department shall perform the following functions: (a) forest management, conservation and protection and reforestation; and (b) organization and functioning of protected areas. Regional Forestry Department shall coordinate its activities with the federal executive bodies, territorial bodies thereof and local government within the sphere of its competence. Regional Forestry Department shall have the following powers: (a) elaboration and validation of Forest Management Plan; (b) implementation of forestry regulation requirements; (c) elaboration of forest fire extinguishment requirements; (d) allotment of public forest plots for permanent (open-ended) tenancy, lease, usufruct; and (e) concludes contracts of sale and purchase of forest plantations located on land of the forest fund.
