Abstract

This Regional Decree validates regulations on regional ethno-natural parks, nature monuments, forest genetic reserves and natural heritage monuments. Ethno-natural parks shall be considered protected natural areas of regional significance, having a special environmental, scientific, cultural, aesthetic, recreational and healthcare value created with the aim of preserving natural complex sites, spiritual and material culture of local population and intended for environmental, historical and cultural education of the people and tourism. Nature monuments shall be considered protected natural areas of regional significance, within the borders of which there are unique natural complexes and objects, including separate natural objects (single trees, groves, forests, rivers, swamps, springs, islands, geological sections, caverns, cult natural sites, places of sacrifice), which are of scientific, cultural and aesthetic value. Forest genetic reserves shall be considered protected natural areas of regional significance consisting of areas of natural forests or forest plantations, unique or typical by their phytocenotic, silvicultural and forest growth indicators for a given natural and climatic region, on which the valuable in genetic and selection relation part of populations of forest species. Natural heritage monuments shall be considered protected natural areas of regional significance with unique natural formations of various historical epochs and periods, of great scientific interest, as well as natural areas (localities) associated with historical events and personalities.
