Abstract

This Regional Act provides for the establishment of the Regional Nature Park of Portovenere, as per Regional Act No. 12 of 22 February 1995, which has re-arranged the protected areas system of the Liguria Region. The perimeter of the Park is delineated by the planimetries attached and shall include the adjacent sea as well (in compliance with article 2, paragraph 2 of Act No. 394 of 6 December 1991). The Regional Nature Park of Portovenere is therefore inserted into the regional system of protected areas for the following purposes: a) conservation of the environment; b) promotion of knowledge of natural characteristics of the area; c) protection of the adjacent sea. The management of the Park is entrusted to the Commune of Portovenere (art. 3), which shall provide for the achievement of the above-mentioned purposes by using the Protected Area Plan and the Socio-Economic Plan referred to in article 16 of Act No. 394 of 1991.
