In order to consider a product an organic product the organic farming techniques indicated in EC Regulation No. 2092/91 of 24 June 1991 and subsequent amendments shall be used. Animal products shall be kept in breeding plants that contemplate the freedom of movement of the animals and the application of the animal welfare standards. Further the Act regulates all forms of organic production and regulates types of integrated productions. The Regional Agriculture, Alimentation and Forestry Department shall keep a list of all organic operators.
