Abstract

This Regional Act regulates the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure to be applied prior to the implementation of regional, provincial and municipal projects which might have a negative impact on the surrounding environment. Annex A lists out the projects that are compulsorily subject to EIA. The projects listed in Annex B are subject to the assessment procedure described in article 16. The Regional Executive is responsible for the setting up and management of an information system concerning EIA and related methods (art. 25). Article 28 sets up the Committee on Environmental Impact Assessment.
