Abstract

Article 7 (2) (b) of Directive 86/362/EEC and article 4 (2) (b) of Directive 90/642/EEC require the EFTA Surveillance Authority to submit annually to the EFTA Foddstuffs Committee a recommendation setting out a coordinated monitoring programme to ensure compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues fixed in the Annexes attached to the said Directives. On this basis, it is hereby recommended to the EFTA States to sample and analyse for the product-pesticide residue combinations, taking into account the sampling frequency specified in the Annex hereto. It is also recommended to specifically monitor for the combination nitrofen-wheat.
