Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 and 15 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006, regulate the razor clam fishery in the north Irish Sea ("specified zone") by implementing a weekly catch limit for vessels and limiting fishing to certain days of the week. The master or person in charge of a sea-fishing boat fishing in the specified zone shall: not cause more than 700 kilograms of razor clams to be landed from the boat in any fishing week and not fish for, attempt to fish for or land razor clams on a Sunday.
