This Act enters into force on 15 December 2018.
Abstract

The objective of the present Act is to protect health against harm caused by radiation and to prevent and reduce environmental damage and other damage caused by radiation. It contains 202 sections divided into the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. General radiation principles; 3. Competent authorities and their duties; 4. Register with the Radiation Safety Centre; 5. Obligations for operators; 6. Eligibility conditions and radiation protection competence; 7. Permits system; 8. Radiation safety of products; 9. Radiation measurements; 10. Radiation sources; 11. Radioactive waste; 12. Occupational exposure; 13. Medical exposure; 14. Imaging with non-medical exposure; 15. Public exposure; 16. Radiation safety incidents and emergency situations with radiation risk; 17. Existing exposure situations; 18. Natural radiation; 19. Non-ionizing radiation; 20. Monitoring, fees and appeals; 21. Special provisions; 22. Entry into force and transitional provisions.
