Abstract

This Order extends the definition of “animal” in the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 so as to include an animal belonging to any of the orders of mammals specified in Part 1 and Part 2 of the Schedule to this Order and the definition of “disease” so as to include rabies. The Order also introduces measures to control rabies in Jersey including restrictions on the landing and movement of animals in Jersey, isolation of animals, quarantine, and vaccination of animals.
