Abstract

The present Regulations enforce the Fisheries Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. F-14). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions concerning certain deleterious substances related to the effluent from pulp and paper mills and off-site treatment facilities and authorizing the deposit of limited quantities of those deleterious substances in certain circumstances. The text consists of 38 sections divided into 2 Parts as follows: Mills and off-site treatment facilities (1); Port Alberni Mill (2). Seven Schedules are enclosed.
