Abstract

This Act amends the Public Private Partnership Act, 2010 so as to make new administration arrangement for the supervision and control of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements and redefines Public-Private Partnership. This Act provides or the establishment of the Public-Private Partnership Centre and sets out its functions and powers. The Public-Private Partnership Centre shall be headed by an Executive Director. The Act provides also for establishment of a Public-Private Partnership Technical Committee and a Public-Private Partnership facilitation Fund. The Technical Committee shall, among other things, review policies and legislation, advise the Minister and approve Public-Private Partnership projects. The Committee shall submit projects to the National Investment Steering Committee for scrutiny. The Act makes consequential amendments to the Tanzania Investment Act.
