Abstract

These Regulations provide rules for the keeping of pigs. No person shall keep two or more pigs (exclusive of pigs under the age of three months) on any one property unless he is in possession of a valid licence issued by the Minister. No licence shall be issued under these Regulations unless the Minister is satisfied that the premises to be provided and their amenities are suitable for the number of pigs which it is proposed to keep on the property. Regulation 5 prescribes rules of hygiene for keeping pigs and treatment of specified feed. Sickness of pigs shall be reported according to section 7. Regulation 8 concerns the inspection of premises.
