Regulations come into force on 22 September 2003.
Abstract

Regulation 2 amends Part VIII of Schedule 2 of the principal Regulations to give effect to Council Directive 2002/33/EC which amends the existing controls on the importation of animal by-products by introducing into Council Directive 90/425/EEC (which sets out veterinary requirements for checks on such products) the terms of Council Regulation 1774/2002. That Regulation lays down health rules concerning animal by-products intended for human consumption.
