Abstract These Regulations amend the definition of "local authority" contained in regulation 2(1) of the Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (England) Regulations 2003 (S.I. 2003/3177). They amend that definition by providing that in a non-metropolitan district, the local authority is the council of that district, rather than the council of the county that covers that district.
