Those Regulations impose on producers the obligation to recover and recycle packaging waste in order to attain the recovery and recycling targets set out in Article 6(1) of European Parliament and Council Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste. These Regulations establish new recycling targets for paper, aluminium, steel and wood for 2018 to 2020. The target for recycling plastic and glass for 2018 to 2020 is continued. The recycling allocation for small producers for 2013 to 2017 is continued for 2018 to 2020.
