Abstract

By way of implementation of the provisions contained in Regulation (EC) No. 136/2004, the present Regulations lay down rules governing the procedures for veterinary checks carried out at border inspection posts within the territory of Malta. Documentary checks shall be carried out in accordance with Schedule I hereto, whereas laboratory checks and analysis of official samples shall be carried out in compliance with Schedule II. Schedule III lays down the format of the Common Veterinary Entry Document (CVED). As established under Schedule IV, the following plant products shall be subject to veterinary checks: 1) straw; 2) hay.
