Abstract This Decree lays down provisions on the duties, authorities and responsibilities of the relevant ministries, directorates, universities, local government and non-governmental organizations under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to carry out studies to take measures and to reduce the effects of possible agricultural drought. In addition to the studies of the relevant ministries and directorates to reduce the effects of agricultural drought, this Decree shall apply to water management in arid and irrigated agricultural lands both in urban and rural areas, investments, agricultural techniques, seed and plant diversity, irrigation techniques, pest/disease management, economic and social supports, grazing plans, land use plans, restrictions and all kinds of response measures in line with the decisions and practices taken by the Agricultural Drought Management Unit.
