This Decree enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Decree lays down provisions for supporting fishermen to fish alien invasive balloonfish (Lagocephalus Sceleratus, Lagocephalus Spadiceus, Lagocephalus Suezensis, Lagocephalus Guentheri, Torquigener Flavimaculosus, Tylerius Spinosissimus, Lagocephalus Lagocephalus, Sphoeroides Pachygaster) to reduce their current populations and stock participation rates in Turkish territorial waters. This Decree aims at reducing the damage to the country's fisheries and economy, conserving aquatic biodiversity and stocks, and ensuring sustainable and rational use of resources.
