Abstract

The Decree regulates the measures to be taken against the fish diseases listed in Annex A, lists I and II, to Presidential Decree of 30 December 1992, No. 555. Said measures include: (a) preliminary procedures for the assessment of the outbreak of the disease (official census of the fish species; destruction of dead specimens; precautionary measures to control the movement of fish species, feedstuffs, personnel; disinfection of the farms; epidemiological surveys; surveillance of the farms exposed to the risk of contamination); (b) measures to be taken in case of detection of the disease (epizootic investigations, destruction of the infected animals, water treatment in order to avoid the spreading of pathogenic agents, disinfection of the equipment, chemical analyses, etc.).
