This Presidential Decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
Abstract

This Presidential Decree approves the Forestry Regulation. This Regulation, consisting of 176 articles divided into fourteen Chapters and nine Annexes, regulates the sustainable management of forestry resources and their ecosystems. It aims to establish standards for their conservation and wise use taking into account the environmental, social, economic and cultural dimension of these resources and applies to forests and protecting activities, conservation, research, utilization, exploitation, afforestation and reforestation, commercialization, transport and primary processing of forestry resources, which regulates the rights to these resources, their sustainable exploitation, exploitation under a concession contract and annual licenses, forest clearing and deforestation, afforestation and reforestation, fire prevention and fire fighting, forest research, possession, transit, trade and statistics of forest products, certification, exploitation fees and other charges, supervision and infractions, etc.
