Abstract

The present Regulation lays down provisions relating to the possession, buying and selling of wildlife. Section 2 establishes that a person who acquires the carcass of a black bear, woodland caribou, white-tailed deer, American elk or moose shall report the acquisition immediately to a district manager and, in so doing, may receive a certificate of reporting. The text consists of 34 sections divided into 12 Parts as follows: Definitions (I); Possession (II); Regulation possession of cervids to prevent chronic wasting disease (II); Tanning, plucking or treating (III); Buying or selling of pelts (IV); Records – fur dealers, tanners, taxidermists (V); Buying and selling carcasses (VI); Buying and selling hides and cast antlers (VII); Buying and selling game bird (VIII); Buying and selling bullfrogs (IX); Transportation (X); Exemptions (XI); Royalties (XII).
