Abstract The present Law implements the Federal Act of 4 October 2002 on population protection and civil protection. In particular, the Law regulates the preparation, implementation and financing of measures necessary in special and extraordinary situations or during disasters and emergencies, as well as the organization of competent cantonal authorities. Article 2 contains the definition of terms like “special situations”, “extraordinary situations “, “emergency situation”, :disaster”, “emergency”.
