Abstract

With this Order, the Secretary of State having regard to any obligations under EU or international law that relate to the conservation or improvement of the marine environment and in accordance with section 123(5) of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, designates the Poole Rocks Marine Conservation Zone. Objective of protection regards the broadscale marine habitat and marine fauna. Protected features include subtidal mixed sediment and native oyster.
